Grant Application Instructions

READ BEFORE COMPLETING APPLICATION

 

To help insure your request receives consideration, please read instructions carefully before completing your  Grant Application:

 

1.  Read the Eligibility Criteria page to be sure your project qualifies.  If you have questions, call (805) 730-1905.

 

2.  You must complete your answers within the space provided on the Grant Application.  Space on the Grant Application is limited on purpose.  Be succinct.  You can send one set of additional information.  This can be additional narrative information, diagrams, maps, illustrations, letters of support, etc.  Do not send videotapes or slides.  Do not attach the extra information to the Grant Application forms.

 

3.  Submit a total of nine copies of your Grant Application.  Failure to submit nine copies will cause your application to not be considered, due to improper filing procedure. 

 

4.  Please include nine copies of your project budget with your Grant Application.

 

5.  Submit one copy of your overall budget.

 

6.  Submit one copy of your tax-exempt 501(c)(3) letter.  This is a letter issued by the Internal Revenue Service.  It is not an advice of taxpayer identification number (Employer ID number) issued by the Internal Revenue Service, or a letter issued by any state organization.

 

7.  Submit one copy of your Mission Statement.  

 

8.  Please 3-hole punch all copies.

 

Failure to follow these instructions may result in your Grant Application not being presented for review by the Balin Trust Advisory committee.

 

We ask that you follow these instructions in order to facilitate the grant making process to keep all applications on a “level playing field”.
